Summer of Smiles – Get technical with CSA Catapult!

Free CSA Catapult Technical Workshop as part of Summer of Smiles at Grange Pavilion.

At CSA Catapult, we have a fantastic team of engineers who use Compound Semiconductors to develop next-generation technology. Semiconductors are at the heart of almost all modern electronic devices. Compound semiconductors combine two or more elements to create capabilities that cannot be achieved with standard semiconductors – they make technologies better, faster and more resilient.

Join us at Grange Pavilion on Wednesday 25th August from 12:00 – 18:00, to learn about the benefits that compound semiconductors will bring to future generations – from cars that drive themselves, clean energy that’s better for our planet, faster health diagnosis, to more efficient communications that will aid space discovery!

Our engineers will show you a series of demonstrations including an Electronics Kit and a Spider Robot (yes, you read that right!), to name but a few. They will explain how the demos work and they will share what it’s like to be an engineer, because at this session, we hope to inspire you to become one too!

Suitable for ages 7 – 16. No booking necessary – the event will be held outdoors.
