Summer of Smiles: On Board the Mimosa – Drama Hour

Free Drama Hour as part of Summer of Smiles

Delivered in partnership with In Character / Mewn Cymeriad theatre company, with funding from Cardiff Council as part of the Summer of Smiles programme, Grange Pavilion proudly presents a free one hour drama session for children aged 7-11 years.

On Board the Mimosa

In 1865, a group of Welsh people made a decision to leave their home and cross the sea to start a new life on the other side of the world in Patagonia. This session will look at their story, before challenging you to enquire what it was like to make this big decision and explore how travelling by sea was an opportunity for a new adventure. Together we’ll consider Wales’s place in the world in the past and the present.

Suitable for children aged 7 – 11 years old.

Adults must remain on site but are not expected to be part of the session. We encourage you to enjoy the Pavilion garden or a coffee in the Hideout cafe whilst you wait!

Presenting Welsh history with fun and excitement.
